AVAILABLE HORSES

Chloe has a new home! Many
others await their chance!

If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful equines, please be sure to
visit our Adoption page. There you can read about our requirements and learn the
first steps towards owning an ERL horse! And please remember, we can't help them
without YOUR help! Please consider a tax deductible donation to the ERL.

Adoption list last updated:
August 2008

Please be aware that this page may not be 100% accurate. We do our best, but new
horses come in and are adopted out on a regular basis. If you are interested in a horse
on this page, please call the office at
(540) 822-4577 and ask about the availability
of the particular animal(s) you are interested in. We can also tell you about any new
residents who have arrived at the farm, but haven't yet arrived on this website!

Also, don't forget to visit our Alumni page to see
some of our horses in their new homes!

An 18-year old Appaloosa gelding, Looking Glass
is sound and is trained for riding, but is blind in
one eye due to uveitus, and will require a fly
mask during the summer. He’s approximately
16.2 hands tall. Glass is a friendly guy,
but he is not suitable for a novice.

Blondi
Spotted Appaloosa mare in
mid teens. Lovely, confident
temperament. Sound, healthy
and willing to please. Came
in as a feral horse; currently
halter trained only. Blondi will
need an advanced handler/rider
in order to complete her training.

Tess
Tess is a 14-year old ex-racehorse,
who stands at about 16.2 hands.
She is very well-trained, has
a great personality, and is good
for the farrier. Due to mild
arthritis, she is best suited
for light pleasure riding.

Sinbad
Sinbad is a six-year old American
Mustang gelding. He is very sweet
and has good ground manners, although
he can be timid with people he does
not know. Sinbad is pasture
sound, but cannot be ridden due
to an old back injury. He is absolutely
gorgeous, and would make a
great companion or pasture pet.

Cosmo
Cosmo is a large pony gelding
in his late teens. He is very
sweet and loving, but can be
timid with new people. Cosmo
cannot bbe ridden, and is available
as a companion animal, or
just some lucky person's pet! Although he looks like a white
pony, Cosmo is actually an Appaloosa.

Miles is a five year old TB gelding, who stands
about 15.2 hands high. He is halter trained, has had
some round pen sessions with tack and a rider
on his back a few times. He is ready to finish his training, and
will make some lucky person a fantastic little horse! He has a
great personality, and loves people. Miles will need someone
who has experience working with young horses.
