PLEASE
HELP TO FIND:
This horse was not stolen, nor missing, but he is very
missed. Leopard Appaloosa gelding, around 16 years old,
approximately 13.5 hands high. He has sporadic spots (not
as much a some Leops) which are roan in color, but moving
down to all legs, they become black. His spots are not
solid spots because they have either a red or blue (depending
on the season) outline of most spots. His nose/ upper
lip has a light brown V shape and this same light brown
also covers the front of both front legs to his knees.
He does have a large black spot on his hip, which stands
out from the rest because the rest are roan. His tail
is middle to the shortest and longest App tail, which
is white in color with one black/silver streak down the
middle. His personality was when I owned him, a very lazy,
stubborn child whom did not like to run, or even trot
fast. He was a family member and not a horse in his mind,
which was true. He loved to rear because I taught him
this as a trick, so maybe this is/was a problem for his
new or former owner/s. He is very gentle and very nosey.
He may steal your drink before you know it, or grab a
bag of chips and off he will go. I owned this horse from
the age of 14 months, until he was 7 years old. He was
my first horse and I was his first friend. We grew up
together and learned what the other had to teach. One
of my biggest heartbreaks was to let him go 9 years ago,
but I have not given up to find him. His last known whereabouts
was in North Carolina in 1994, sold there at a market.
If anyone sees or hears of or has such a horse, please
contact me or the rescue. I would love any information
on his whereabouts or better yet, to bring him home again
if possible. Just for the record, his name was and may
still be Max. Thank you to all whom have taken the time
to read this and much thanks to The Equine Rescue League.
